10. H modeling#

10.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The concrete beam is modelled by 3D elements. The cable is modelled in BARRE in a first calculation and in CABLE_GAINE in the second.

10.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The first mesh contains 20 elements of type HEXA8 and 20 elements of type SEG2.

The second mesh contains 20 elements of type HEXA8 and 10 elements of type SEG3.

10.3. Tested sizes and results#

It is the first calculation carried out with the elements BARRE that serves as a reference for the calculation carried out with the elements CABLE_GAINE. The stresses at the nodes (SIEF_NOEU) are compared to the middle node (N10) and to the node located at the unembedded end of the beam (N20) and the internal forces at DX and DZ to the end node (N20) are compared.
