9. Selecting topological entities#
In order to reduce the volume of prints and the size of the « universal » I- DEAS™ file, it is sometimes necessary to print only part of the result. To do this, you may want to print a field to the nodes only in certain nodes, or one field per element only in certain elements.
This selection, which will be noted as « selection on topological entities », is possible in the format “IDEAS”.
9.1. Operand TOUT#
This keyword indicates that you want to print the field on the whole structure (all the nodes for a field at the nodes, all the elements for one field per element).
9.2. Operand NOEUD#
This keyword is used to indicate the list of nodes on which you want to print a fiel_no. If this keyword is used when printing a cham_elem, it is ignored, and the cham_elem is printed in all the meshes specified elsewhere.
9.3. Operand GROUP_NO#
This keyword is used to indicate the list of groups of nodes on which you want to print a fiel_no. If this keyword is used when printing a cham_elem, it is ignored, and the cham_elem is printed in all the meshes, specified elsewhere.
9.4. Operand MAILLE#
This keyword allows you to indicate the list of cells on which you want to print a cham_elem. For a fiel_no, it allows you to indicate the list of nodes, vertices of the cells to which you want to print the fiel_no.
9.5. Operand GROUP_MA#
This keyword is used to indicate the list of cell groups on which you want to print a fiel_elem. For a fiel_no, it allows you to indicate the list of nodes, vertices of the cells to which you want to print the fiel_no.
