4. Using modal expansion (EXPANSION)#

The method of using this option is not very relevant, it is especially useful for validation. It is preferable, if you want to perform a modal expansion, to use the MACRO_EXPANS command directly, or the PROJ_MESU_MODAL, REST_GENE_PHYS and PROJ_CHAMP chain.

4.1. Keywords MESURE and NUME_MODE_MESURE#

♦ MESURE = measure,

An sd_result concept of the mode_meca or dyna_harmo type that contains the modes to be extended on the numerical model.

♦ NUME_MODE_MESURE = L_I,

Allows you to select the order numbers of the modes you want to extend.

4.2. Keyword CALCUL#

♦ CALCUL = calculation,

SD_result concept of the mode_meca type that will be the basis for expansion. The choice of the expansion base is important for the quality of results.

♦ NUME_MODE_CALCUL = L_I,

Allows you to select the order numbers of the modes you want to use in the expansion base. It is more interesting to keep only the modes that « resemble » the deformations to be extended, the similarity criterion being obtained by calculating MAC.

Expansion consists in solving an inverse problem for the determination of generalized coefficients PROJ_MESU_MODAL. Inversion methods and regularization coefficients are detailed in the user documentation for this operator (cf. [U4.73.01]).
