Verify the stability of a 2D embankment structure (dike/dam) according to the criterion of maximum allowable horizontal displacement during seismic loading using the Newmark method [1].
The procedure depends on the concept, the result of a linear, temporal or non-linear dynamic calculation, as well as on the position of the sliding circle potential and the associated seismic coefficient.
The macro-control also makes it possible to estimate the static and dynamic safety factor from a field of constraints resulting from the gravity of the structure, as well as during the dynamic transition.
Depending on the options requested by the user, the macro-command outputs a table containing the average horizontal acceleration of the sliding mass, horizontal displacement, the safety factor and the seismic coefficient.
