2. Generalities

The objective of this macro-command is to determine the thermal and mechanical state of a structure following a thermal shock. By using linearity properties, it is possible to determine the solution of any shock from an « other » shock, most of the time unitary. This approach has the advantage of only calculating the finite element solutions once for the unit shock, and then generating the solutions for the other shocks.

Since linearity properties are used, this operator is only valid for thermomechanical calculations where thermics and mechanics are linear.
