1. Purpose

Define the modelled physical phenomenon (mechanical, thermal or acoustic) and the type of elements finished.

This operator makes it possible to assign models to all or part of the mesh, which defines:

• the degrees of freedom on the nodes (and the associated conservation equation (s)),

• the types of finite elements on meshes,

The possibilities of the finite elements that can be chosen are described in the papers [U3].

The mesh types are described in the document:external U3.01.00.

This operator also makes it possible to define a distribution of finite elements in order to parallelize the elementary computations and assemblies.

Produces a model-like data structure.
