3. What’s new between 7.0 and 7.2#
Here are the syntax changes resulting from the changes introduced in versions 7.1 and 7.2 (version 7.0 being similar to 6.4).
3.1. New orders#
3.1.1. CALC_PRECONT#

These commands make it possible to automatically mesh flanges, and to launch calculations on these meshes (see [7.1.5]).

EQUI_ELNO_SIGM different calculation method:
The equivalent constraints (Von Mises, Tresca,…) were calculated from the constraints extrapolated to the nodes. Equivalent stresses are now calculated by extrapolation of equivalent stresses calculated at Gauss points (as for internal variables). The only constraint fields provided are therefore SIEF_ELGA_DEPL in linear and SIEF_ELGA in non-linear.
On the other hand, for shell elements, the method of calculating equivalent stresses has not changed: the user must calculate the stress field at a point in the thickness (SIGM_ELNO_DEPL in linear and SIGM_ELNO_COQU in non-linear), and the option EQUI_ELNO_SIGM calculates the invariants of this field at the nodes.
