**u2.08.08** Using the Manufactured Solutions Method for Software Verification

**Summary:**

This document introduces the use of the Manufactured Solutions Method for the software validation of*Code_Aster*. The principle of this method is detailed on a simple example of thermal diffusion. This example allows us to specify the value of this approach and in particular to present the validation process that can be implemented. Finally, the computer implementation of the Manufactured Solutions Method, based on the use of symbolic calculation, is detailed.
