.. _U2.04.05: **u2.04.05** Model THM User Manual ================================================ **Summary:** The THM models deal exclusively with the evolution of the Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical behaviors of porous media saturated, or not, by one or two fluids. The numerical and physical description of these models in Code_Aster is detailed in [:ref:`R7.01.10 `] and [:ref:`R7.01.11 `]. In this documentation, we detail the procedure to follow to carry out simulations in the context of modeling THM. In the first part, we describe the various calculation steps in the general framework of so-called "generalized" continuous environments (cf. [:ref:`R7.01.10 `]). In this part, we will not detail what concerns the mechanical models described elsewhere. In the second part, the application of these models is restricted to treat porous media that undergo a degradation of their mechanical properties by damaging the soil or rocks for example. To do this, models THM are extended to microstructure media by taking into account second gradient effects (cf. [:ref:`R5.04.03 `]). The objective is to correct the dependence on the spatial discretization of solutions when the law of mechanical behavior under consideration is of a softening type — which is the case for any fragile material, and therefore soils in particular. .. toctree:: :hidden: self .. toctree:: :maxdepth: 2 :numbered: Les_grandes_lignes Les_diff_rentes__tapes_d_un_calcul_THM Les_mod_lisations_THM_par_une_approche_second_gradient Bibliographie
