Summary:

The objective of this document is to provide an overview of the modeling possibilities available to the user in modeling the behavior of soils and rocks, to which the behavior of joints has also been added to describe the interfaces between geomaterial environments. Different choices are always possible and the aim of this document is not to replace the engineer’s analysis but to allow him to more easily choose the modeling options, according to the needs and the tools available, and to guide him towards more specific documents.
