1. Overview of the interface#

1.1. Description#

The graphical interface of the business tool includes 4 adjustment boxes visible in the figure as well as a tutorial to guide the conversion steps.

1.2. Graphic recipe#

The business tool interface can be tested using an embedded test mesh. The recipe sequence is as follows:

  • Open the converter interface

  1. Open Salome Meca

  2. Create a new study

  3. Tools → Extensions → salome_meca → Mesh converter

  • Indicate the format of the input mesh: Systus

Select the input mesh file, I DIR * being the installation directory of the business tool: IDIR * /share/salome/resources/test/data/ SYSTUS_MULTI_DONN1. ASC

Select the output mesh file: a*test.med file on the desktop for example

  • Enable mesh import in the Mesh module

  • Execute the conversion

Verify the existence of the*test.med file on the desktop

  • Open the Mesh module

  • Check for the presence of a mesh as shown in figure:

  • Finally check that the mesh contains:

    • 61 knots

    • 17 elements, including 8 linear, 8 quadratic, and 1 zero-dimensional
