1. Introduction

This manual describes the modeling in Salome-Meca of pipe lines consisting of the following main elements: straight pipes, elbows, tees. 3D elbow elements can be simply connected at the intersections of wire lines.

A methodological guide is presented in the first part. One chapter describes the steps for producing the geometry of the pipe line, another chapter describes the steps for creating the mesh.

Mention is also made of the main Aster operators to be used for the assignment of pipe elements and for creating connections between elements of different dimensions.
