5. Conclusion

In this document, post-processing methods applicable to shock transients calculated by modal synthesis on structures with play have been presented. Depending on the concerns, it is possible to carry out a post-treatment oriented towards a diagnosis of the wear suffered by the components during impacts, a set of important statistical quantities are then determined. If the concern is more about impacts and their level, another option allows for a detailed analysis of each impact.

These two functionalities make it possible to synthesize the transient results obtained by temporal integration, to classify different numerical simulations by severity level or to compare calculated and measured quantities for validation purposes.
