**r7.01.42** Homogeneous damage law ENDO_LOCA_EXP

**Summary:**

This document describes the fragile elastic behavior model ENDO_LOCA_EXP, available in local modeling only (as opposed to a non-local formulation type GRAD_VARI). This means restricting the use of the model to situations in which the damage is diffuse and not localized. The corresponding non-local version is provided by template ENDO_FISS_EXP [:ref:`R5.03.28 <R5.03.28>`]. If the damage is modelled isotropically, the damage criterion is in turn well suited to the modeling of concrete, in particular by distinguishing between tension and compression states, unlike model ENDO_ISOT_BETON [:external:ref:`R7.01.04 <R7.01.04>`] for example. In addition, a compression stiffness restoration is introduced to reflect the closure of the cracks. On the other hand, the model is in principle not suitable for modeling the damage of concrete under compression.
