Summary:

The GONFelas model is a model originally proposed by D. Hoxan and F. Colin [1] to describe the swelling behavior of certain types of clay. It is a non-linear elastic model dependent on suction (so this model should be used in a THHM or HHM environment only). This model is inspired by the Barcelona model BBM (see R7.01.17) and corresponds to its elastic part. It is particularly suitable for studying the behavior of compacted clay plugs (bentonite). This model is developed in framework MFront.
