**r5.06.03** Shock and friction modeling in transient analysis by modal recombination
=====================================================================================================

**Summary:**

This document describes the physical laws of contact with friction between structures and the modeling that is made of them in the transient analysis algorithm by modal recombination DYNA_VIBRA (TYPE_CALCUL =' TRAN 'and BASE_CALCUL =' GENE') with COMPORTEMENT =' DIS_CHOC '. For the various nonlinear contact connections that can be used, the calculation of the quantities defining the contact conditions is detailed.

The usage patterns used are described in [:external:ref:`R5.06.04 <R5.06.04>`].
