**r5.03.55** Method LAC — Local Average Contact

Summary:

This document describes how to treat contact between solids (2D or 3D) in large transformations using a "mortar" method. The formulation is very precise for the contact pressures obtained, in particular when the meshes are not coincident or when the surfaces are curved.

This formulation is available in command DEFI_CONTACT under the name ALGO_CONT =' LAC '.
