**r4.01.01** Pre and post-treatment for thin shells made of composite materials

**Summary:**

The results of the theory of plate elements presented in the documentation [:ref:`R3.07.03 <R3.07.03>`] are extended to the case of multi-layer orthotropic materials. The proposed documentation includes thermal and thermo-elastomechanical aspects. The use of these materials is theoretically valid only in the case of geometric symmetry with respect to the average sheet of the plate. It is therefore necessary for the membrane-flexure coupling to be zero.
